It is said that the surrounding area of Ragoznica was under Murins protection from wars, hunger and diseases. To make him happy every year the local residents would offer the dragon the most beautiful virgin for the dragon to take as his wife, no woman ever lasted the first night!
One year, a brave young man called Aristoles famous for his winged white horse, fell in love with the most beautiful girl in the village, Lucija, who was promised to be the offering to the dragon. A fight ensued between Aristoles and the dragon. Aristoles wounded the dragon with a spear through his chest, the dragon was so terrified of his immortality that he ripped both of his eyes out in a fit of rage, one eye plunged to the ground and formed the lake of Zmajevo oko.
Today it is said that if lovers swim in the lake together, their love for each other will last forever.
